I saw Dawn of the Dead last night with a few of my friends. It could of been a hell of a lot better. I should of known this though. Original movies are almost always better than remakes, or this thought could be derived from that fact that I was just in a bad mood altogether last night. I'm not quite sure why I even go to the movies anymore. It seems as though the movies I see are either not worth the money that I spend, or they simply just suck, with a few exceptions. Sequels are usually terrible too. What the hell's wrong with directors these days?
On a happier note, Prince is getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this Sunday, I finally found my beloved Tiger Army cd that I've been looking for all over my house for the past month, and tomorrow will mark only one week until I see the Distillers again.

Just came back from seeing Secret Window. It was such a good movie, except for the part where the twenty 11-12 year old girls surrounding us would not shut their mouths. I missed a good 15-20 minutes of the movie because of that. We eventually learned to drown out their voices. Johnny Depp never fails to simply amaze me. I don't believe that I can think of a better actor. Well, besides James Dean of course. I'm pretty sure that Angelina Jolie's new movie comes out next Friday, and I'm really excited for Dawn of the Dead. Gotta love the movies, but $8 for one is absolutely ridiculous.

I had a lot more fun at the Cannibal Corpse concert last night than I expected to. This is excluding the 35 year old guy who kept hitting on me and trying to hold my hand. Bastard. I'm really upset that Club Laga's closing. I've had too many memories at that place, not forgetting that it's one of the few concert places we have left here. They're turning it into an apartment building or something. At least I'll be able to get one more concert in there on March 28, before it closes April 3.

So yesterday was my 16th birthday. I really appreciate what everyone did for me. It's nice to know that people actually care. I'd have to say that one of the greatest moments was when Mr. Koval sang "Go shorty, it's your birfday, etc" He changed the wording around to fit me. It was great. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's from a song right? A movie?
Jim (mom's bf) took me to this HUGE Border's store and let me pick out something for my birthday. I ended up getting American Psycho on DVD. I was getting tired of having to watch it censored on my recorded tape and paying money to rent it. Also got a few nifty things from my friends. Angelina's taking me to the Cannibal Corpse concert tomorrow night. I'm not one for death metal at all, but it should be fun and interesting nonetheless.

Bright Eyes - "The Calendar Hung Itself" |

The Bright Eyes concert last night was amazing. Roseann, Liz, and I got there around 2. We were the second ones in line, and then a bunch of people started coming. We met up with our little gay friend Dave that we met the night before and talked to all the other fans until 6:30, when we could go in.
We were positioned right in the middle under Conor. Two other guys played a few songs before him. Conor only did like 5 or 6 of his songs and played a few songs with those two other guys. Conor's just one of those guys who are mesmerizing to watch on stage. During two of his songs, Conor sat down on the stage. He played bass during one of them, and during the other, he let us sing into the microphone.
Right after the concert, I had a really bad migraine and was really sick. We still waited outside for about an hour or so to meet Conor. He knew I was sick, and when I got my picture, he like had my head in his hand or something. *smile* It was the only thing that made me feel better. Then he signed the setlist that I got, and gave me a big hug. I didn't get home until around 12:30 since we had to keep stopping the car because I was sick. Eh oh well. It was definitely worth it. I'll have to post some pics when we get them developed.

Just got done playing an intense game of Spit (card game) with Roseann. It was interesting. We're too damn competitive. There was knocking over of drinks, screaming at the top of our lungs, hitting things, etc. Terrific.
This is the fourth weekend in a row that I've over Roseann's. Honestly, I live here lol. I have my own room and everything. Cause last night before going to the mall, my mom went psycho bitch on me. We didn't get to walk around the mall at all cause by the time we got there it was definitely closing. Roseann got her Labyrinth shirt anyway. So, my mom just sort of left us there. Bah. We ended up having to walk down to the movies so I could get my Torque poster from Rob. It's grand. Then I was afraid to even go home, so of course, Roseann's place sounded good. We've just been hanging out, listening to 50's music, and watching movies as usual.

I decided to bring the ol' livejournal back. Don't know why. I guess I missed it and it's addictiveness. My browser at home's down, so I have to trek my ass on down to the library to use the internet or stay after school and still trek my ass on back home after. Oh well, it's for a good cause. :)
